Portfolio Manager

Principal Responsibilities

• Propose investment opportunities to the Senior Portfolio Manager
• Autonomously manage Global TMT focused investment portfolios
• Be the lead analyst on Global Telecoms, Global Media and US Internet
• Interface with sell side research, industry participants and company representatives to screen investment ideas and help manage information flow with them
• Reviewing & analysing research materials on companies, sectors and economic trends
• Perform industry / sector analysis
• Monitoring markets
• Gathering market data and preparing screens to track and analyse trends in stocks
• Identify, evaluate and implement timely market opportunities and trading strategies to generate P&L

Qualifications/Skills Required

• Bachelor Degree or above in an analytical subject (such as Accounting and Finance)
• Experience working in a global buy-side investment firm essential
• Prior experience and track record managing equity L/S strategy in a market-neutral environment
• Extensive experience in trading Global TMT Equites is essential
• Advanced financial modelling and data analysis essential
• Advanced Bloomberg preferred
• CFA qualified preferred
• Buy-side experience managing investment Portfolios essential
• Experience of autonomously building and managing risk analysis tools for portfolio optimization is essential
• Quick learner, detail oriented, demonstrable thoroughness and strong ownership of work
• Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment
• High sense of urgency
• Strong communication skills
